In response to a challenge to write a script in a month, author Marisa Williams penned The Stoney Carnival, a reality-based fictional memoir, in only three days. Exploring life behind the scenes in a carnival, readers are taken inside the carnival and put to work, finding out exactly how female carnies are viewed by society. Marisa Williams, a former newspaper writer, photographer, and magazine editor, has published more than sixty independent books and designs jewelry. She earned her MA in Writing from the Johns Hopkins University and a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies, a mixture of pre-medical and pre-law emphasizing Forensics, from the University of Toledo.
