About the Author


MATTHEW B. CHRISTENSEN is professor of Chinese at Brigham Young University. He is also director of the BYU Chinese Flagship Center and has been working with the program since 2002. He has directed and managed Flagship and study abroad programs at Nanjing University since the late 1990s.HENRIETTA YANG is associate professor of Chinese and linguistics and former co-director of the Chinese Language Flagship Program at the University of Mississippi (UM) from 2013 to 2021. Yang directed and managed study abroad programs at Shanghai University in China and National Chung Cheng University and Tamkang University in Taiwan for more than ten years
