About the Author

Lisa Harvey-Smith is an award-winning astronomer and professor at the University of New South Wales. In 2018, she was appointed as the Australian government’s ambassador for women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). She is also the author of The Secret Life of Stars: Astrophysics for Everyone.

Sophie Beer is an author and illustrator who revels in color, shape, and texture. Living by one simple rule—art should never be boring—she primarily works in children’s and editorial illustrations. Her clients include Google, Disney/Pixar, The Guardian, the Boston Globe, and many more. When she’s not illustrating and writing, she thinks a lot about books, animals, and equality.
