Description

Diamond D got her nickname because she has a diamond-shaped birthmark on her cheek. Should she worry other children will make fun of her because she's "different?" Turning what could be a negative (bullying) into a positive (kindness), her very best friend Lucy sticks up for her when the other kids at their soccer game ask about it.

Based on a friend from the author's real life, Lulu Ferrari hopes her book reaches children's hearts to see how a simple act of kindness can express compassion and empathy for another, something much needed in the world today.
